Sometimes when you create your iPhone WiFi hotspot in a hotel or business somewhere in the U.S. your unauthorized Wi-Fi AP becomes blocked by your hotel or other company. Such practice should be stopped since the FCC prohibits blocking such WiFi hotspots in the USA from now on.

The commission has issued a document titled ‘Enforcement Advisory’ where it doesn’t allow hotels and others to block Wi-Fi APs created by their guests. This document is released after Marriott asked the body to allow blocking unauthorized access points made by its guests.

As the FCC clears it now, if anyone intentionally interferes with user personal WiFi hotspot or network, this will be subjected to enforcement action. The commission also noted that it had seen in the past how commercial companies and hotels blocked their customers / guests when they tried to use their personal Wi-Fi hotspots. Such consumers are to be protected.

Less than a year ago, Marriott had to pay $600,000 after it blocked WiFi hotspot access to its guests in Tennessee. The fine was issued by the FCC. The hotel had to pay the cost but it later requested the FCC to allow it banning such networks in the future and got the answer that such thing couldn’t be done.

Anyone in the U.S. who is planning to block unauthorized iPhone WiFi hotspots or other personal networks will be forced to pay big fines.

According to reports that Google mobile network launch day will be very soon, as the search giant has signed a deal with Sprint and T-Mobile to permit it to operate as a carrier. It is expected that Google will offer better rates to the consumer and more flexible, tailored packages.

The Chrome maker was always in the center of different technological events and the key figure in smartphone evolution with its Android mobile platform. It also strived to bring cheaper hardware to market with its famed Nexus series.

Due to new reports the big G wants to step further and become a branded carrier. Currently all details are not clear and there are many question whether it can be a major competitor to other carriers or can it offer more attractive carrier packages.

Analyzing the current market we can say that it consists of a few major operators. And it cannot be real for the big-named carriers to keep prices high and flexibility. Despite the fact that 4G LTE infrastructure now being very popular and widespread across the United States along with the mobile market, still many consumers are suffer from capped packages that offer poor amount of downloaded data permitted.

Due to rapid increase of data speeds it is thought that Google will search ways to drive up allowances and lower costs by throwing itself into the mix. And they say that as Google signed a deal with two of the four largest carriers in the U.S. Sprint and T-Mobile it won’t plan to be a separate network. I t seems that it will be acting as a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO).
However, we are all excited about Google mobile network launch day. When will it be?

Angela Ahrendts is Apple retail chief. Now she is talking about Apple expansion in China and calls it aggressive. Everyone understands that China plays a major part in the Cupertino-based company strategy because this Asian region has millions of potential customers for iPhone 6, 6 Plus, new iPad and other ‘fruit’ products.

Ahrendts mentioned Apple expansion plans 2015 while speaking to one Chinese News Agency. She is sure that the iPhone maker becomes more agressive, especially when it comes to the new country and retail.

As the senior vice president of retail and online stores notes, the iOS giant is planning to open 5 news retail stores in China in early 2015. One store has already opened in Zhengzhou. The second big opening is planned for January 24 in Hangzhou. It will be the Westlake Apple Store.

Then the company is expected to open new stores in time for Chinese New Year which is on February 19, 2015. It is interesting that the four of the five openings are in brand new cities for the company.

Apple will soon have 20 retail stores in Hong Kong and China. The iOS company has plans to have 40 stores in China area within the next couple of years.

It is important for the ‘fruit’ company to provide the same customer service standards across the world while keeping up with high demand for products and services. Apple is already hiring in China as it has major focus on this region.

P.S. While there are official stores in China, a lot of local customers still purchase Apple iPhone in the U.S. thus it becomes interesting for them to order AT&T iPhone 6 unlock to use it with Chinese carriers.

Do people care what Vodafone UK 4G speeds are to be offered along with the new iPhone 6 or 6 Plus? According to the company’s boss Jeroen Hoencamp, subscribers don’t care or even don’t know that 4G exists and what it means to them.

It doesn’t matter what Vodafone 4G speeds in London or other parts of the United Kingdom are. At least, this is what the carrier’s CEO believes in.

It is necessary to note that Vodafone is playing second fiddle to another local carrier EE when we mention 4G speeds. EE extended its network and attracted over 5.7 new subscribers thanks to these speeds and coverage becoming number one UK 4G network with over 8 millions users.

Vodafone thinks different, or says different. As Hoencamp notes, the concept of 4G is not such a big thing as some suggest. He is sure that getting the highest speeds isn’t a race, especially when you talk about iPhone 6 and other mobile devices.

EE has already built and continues to improve its network of 300Mbps speeds, and Vodafone claims it could easily do the same thing, but has no desire to. Why? Hoencamp notes that users with mobile gadgets don’t need more than 20Mbps.

The UK iPhone carrier boasts that its low band spectrum makes it stand out and offers better indoor coverage to subscribers.

The mobile operator believes that users care about consistency and strong signal, and this is what it is delivering to them.

T-Mobile also wants to place third in the major U.S. networks and pass Sprint which is now the third company leaving the Magenta firm to stay the fourth. If you remember Legere’s speech in 2014, he had the exact same plans for passing Sprint which didn’t happen.
