Are you searching for the best AT&T iPhone prices and plans [you might want to get phone SIM unlock soon]? It might not be the best time to order the smartphone from this carrier in August. There are a lot of reasons for this. Keep on reading and you’ll learn how the well-known U.S. mobile operator is changing its pricing policy to charge customers more.
The new iPhone 7 [or iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus] should be unveiled soon. Apple is expected to release it to public sometime in September or October. AT&T is rumored to start rising the cost of the current iPhone 6 and 6 Plus adding new activation fee and fees for subscribers who wish to use AT&T Next data plan.
The new AT&T iPhone 6 price will not change that much but users will still be forced to pay more than compared to other local carriers. The company started talking about upcoming AT&T iPhone price hike in mid July.
August will bring new fees for users who purchase AT&T iPhones with Next package that allows subscribers to early upgrade to the most recent Apple gadgets. Previous fee was $5 and the new one is $15. This fee is reflected in monthly payments for the 2-year contract [users will pay $45 per line]. Users will also have to pay $15 to upgrade on Next. In others words, consumers might have to pay $15 down for the iPhone 6.
It is curious that while AT&T wants to bring $45 for iPhone Activation, T-Mobile leaves it $0 and Sprint mobile company wants to receive the $36 payment. Verizon asks for $40 which makes AT&T iPhone carrier the most expensive after the price hike.
The news doesn’t sound that awesome. Still for customers who wish to get the next iPhone 7 through upgrade program it might be a good deal. If you don’t plan on buying the never-locked model directly from Apple in the fall you will have to get it from one of U.S. carriers.
