TIME 2014 Person of the Year is a big media event and the whole world is following it. Everyone wishes to guess who gets this award this year. It is interesting that Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO, is among the nominees.
The annual award will soon find its winner, but for now Time has published the shortlist of all people who are on the nomination list in 2014. What Cook is recognized for? Well, he is well remembered for two things. Firstly, the new iPhone 6 Plus and 6 that were launched in September. Millions of users are already owning one of the two or even both devices by now. Secondly, Cook’s decision to come out as gay was a big thing.
This move was unexpected. But Cook wrote a letter for Bloomberg Businessweek where he mentioned his sexual orientation in order to inspire others.
