The newest iPhone 6s lineup was officially unveiled on September 9th. Apple held a special private media event in San Francisco just like it is doing every other year and presented the new ‘s’ lineup of its 9th generation handsets. Let’s compare iPhone 6s Plus to 6 Plus model to see what differences are and how this smartphone changes in 2015.

The iPhone 6 Plus is the 8th gen model and iPhone 6s Plus is the 9th gen version. Apple left the same ‘6 Plus’ name but added the prefix ‘s’ to its newest devices.

The main changes are surely the improvements Apple brings to its ‘s’ lineup. Firstly, the iPhone 6s Plus gets the faster A9 chip [the 6 Plus model has the A8 processor]. Secondly, the 2015 model comeswith better FaceTime and iSight cameras compared to the predecessor. Thirdly, the latest phone features Force Touch technology that is absent in 6 Plus smartphone.

Note that not all details are known about the iOS 9 6s Plus model yet because this handset hasn’t been officially released yet. It is coming to the market in the end of September. Apple didn’t talk about all the changes during the introduction event. It only mentioned the major changes and enhancements that are looking and sounding attractive to potential customers.

While iPhone 6 Plus has 1GB of RAM, the iPhone 6s Plus comes with 2GB of RAM. This is a nice addition. Still it is rumored that the 2015 model will get the smaller capacity battery compared to iPhone 6 Plus however this fact will be confirmed only when first customers receive their pre-ordered smartphone model.
