There are talks about Apple mobile network launch in several countries across the world. Thus the news mentions both the U.S. and Europe. Does it mean all iPhone Apple users could get unlock service directly from the Cupertino-based giant or receive special E SIM cards that are pre-unlocked for a number of carriers? Would Apple instead act just like all other American mobile operators and lock its subscribers to its network only?
Can you imagine the new Apple mobile virtual network operator? The rumors about Apple expanding its services and getting into the mobile industry are nothing new. Some sources already mentioned such possibilities though the company itself says nothing about such plans and continues to test iOS 8.4.1, iOS 9 and work on the upcoming next generation iPhone line and other gadgets.
Apple phone is no doubt a very popular smartphone. Users purchase AT&T iPhone 6, Verizon iPhone 6S and other models locked to different mobile operators. Since it is often more affordable to get the device with a 2-year plan customers agree to pay less and simply order iPhone 5S AT&T factory IMEI unlock or other services that make them SIM free. This however cannot help to get rid of the two-year data plan option but at least users get a choice of networks when they travel across the U.S. or outside the country.
If Apple really becomes mobile virtual network operator [also known as MVNO] it might cooperate with AT&T, Verizon and other carriers while purchasing their network access and selling it to more customers.
