While iPhone SE and iPhone 6s have much in common these are still two different iPhone models [the next iPhone 7 will arrive in the fall]. They have different size and specs. At the sametime some iPhone SE features remind of iPhone 6s.
Thus iPhone SE specs are very similar to what iPhone 6s offers. The two models have the same processor but their screens are of different size. Display resolution is also different. Besides, iPhone 6s and 6s Plus versions arrive with 3D Touch.
The new 2016 iPhone SE features have no 3D touch but they arrive with Touch ID. Still if you look closed at ‘se’ and ‘s’ smartphones you will notice that your Touch ID sensor is not exactly the same as on iPhone 6s. Apple offers only first gen sensor for cheaper SE model while the ‘s’ lineup arrives with the second generation option.
There are positive things about the more affordable version though. Thus iPhone SE has longer battery life compared to the iPhone 6s [it should be able to last for about 13 hours if you are using LTE or WiFi compared to 10-11 hours promised for ‘s’ models]. Apple promises this but customers will be able to test the handset’s battery only after March 30th. This is the official sales date and this is the date when you can start SIM unlocking iPhone SE just like any other AT&T iPhone or smartphone locked to a different carrier. You can pre-order your iPhone SE starting on March 24th but you won’t get it in hands until the end of the month.
The SE version has no Barometer, OIS and 128GB storage space. It features iSight camera similar to 6s phone and 1.2MP FaceTime camera. It also arrives with Live Photos support and should be offered at $399+ price. This is cheap for Apple models as you have to pay at least $649 for the iPhone 6S.
