Apple fans who live in Kentucky, Ohio and Indiana will be offered the iPhone 5 from their regional wireless operator Cincinnati Bell. This U.S. telco starts to sell iPhone 5 on Friday, August 16.
Cincinnati Bell carrier is well-known in Ohio and nearby suburbs. It is the leading operator in Cincinnati and it comes with a promo campaign that should be interesting to customers who wish to purchase the sixth-generation smartphone from this carrier. Since its regular pricing will be a little higher versus U.S. prepaid operators, this Friday can be used as your chance to get a $100 trade-in deal.

iPhone Bell Carrier Update
August 16 is a big date for Bell carrier as this company has never sold any model of popular iOS smartphone. The mobile operator needs a growth because it keeps losing its subscribers. For example, as the newspaper mentions, Bell’s consumers fell from 430,000 to 370,000 in the June quarter. This has affected its revenue which went down 16 percent and is now $52 million.
Note: If you already have iPhone locked to Bell and need to unlock it, follow the link to get official factory unlocking solution.
It needs to improve and develop its network. Right now Bell offers 4G service to its clients. It hasn’t yet decided whether the investments into the new LTE network creation can bring more customers and increase revenue.
We are used to see AT&T, Verizon and other U.S. prepaid mobile operators selling iPhone 5 from $99 – $149 for the 8GB model and $199 for the 16GB device. This price is typically set for users who get a 2-year contract. Unlike these carriers, Cincinnati Bell is going to sell the 16GB iPhone 5 for $299.99 with the 24-month contract.
Does it sound too expensive to you? Try to visit the stores on August 17-18 as this is your chance to get the $100 trade-in offer though the carrier doesn’t list the gadgets that qualify for this deal.
