iPhone 7 Might Not Be Attractive to Customers

The release of iPhone SE (smaller 4-inch handset that replaces iPhone 5s) brings even more iPhone 7 rumors. Customers are curious what else Apple is planning for 2016. The iPhone 7, however, might not be that attractive.

While most consumers expect to see amazing and exclusive iPhone 7 features and specifications experts have thoughts that this model will not get a big number of attractive selling points. iPhone 7 rumors 2016 mention redesigned smartphone with new options. Still the company could step away from innovations and offer only minor updates.

iPhone 7 Rumors

Well-known expert Ming-Chi Kuo doesn’t specify possible iPhone 7 features but he thinks Apple could ship less iPhone units than it did back in 2014. As noted by Kuo, the Cupertino-based giant might only ‘order’ 190 million iPhones while this figure was 193 million two years ago.

Even if Apple goes with 205 million iPhone shipments in 2016 [4-inch iPhone SE has better battery performance than other iPhones] it won’t still reach the 230 million figure that was predicted earlier. Kuo thinks that Apple will add all the rumored improvements to iPhone 8 instead of iPhone 7. If this is true we’ll see OLED screen and wireless charging in 2017.

There were reports about iPhone 7 features that mentioned wireless charging, OLED screen and water proof body in 2016. The iPhone SE has no such features and it lacks some of the wonderful options introduced with iPhone 6s and 6s Plus launch. Could iPhone 7 be the same iPhone 6s with slight changes? What do you think?

Who Will Manufacture iPhone 7 Modem?

While iPhone SE is the most recent iPhone available to customers this spring there are many rumors about next iPhone 7 modem and possible features. The news arrives from Qualcomm.

Apple Intel modem switch could leave Qualcomm without orders. This is what the company thinks is happening. Its CEo is sure that Apple could use a different firm to produce modems for its smartphones. Qualcomm in this situation would lose some modem orders.

iPhone 7 Intel Chip Rumor

iPhone 7 release is expected in the fall 2016. This gadget would be exclusive options if compared to current smaller 4-inch iPhone SE. No one knows what exactly Apple is to offer this time. It finds ways to surprise customers every year as iPhones are upgraded at least once a year.

iPhone Intel modem switch could also bring improvements to the iPhone 7. Qualcomm has been working with the Cupertino-based company for a long time. It has hopes to swill work with the giant however Apple is believed to order modems from Intel as well.

Of course, we should mention one important detail. Qualcomm didn’t mention Apple or any iPhone model at all [current iPhone 6s arrives with Qualcomm chip]. It only assumed that ‘major client’ wants to give some orders to competitor. The chip maker would get major business loss as a result.

Since we all know that Qualcomm has been working with Apple it is possible to guess that the ‘fruit’ giant could place orders with different processor makers. This way iPhone 7 could arrive with two different processors. Some models could get Qualcomm chips and other could be released with Intel chips.
