Apple Pay is only a year and a couple of months old. This iOS mobile payment system was introduced in 2014 by the Cupertino-based company. Some experts didn’t believe it could become popular. At first, there were U.S. stores and didn’t want to work with this. Then more and more iPhone users started to enjoy paying without having to carry their credit card and now Target mobile payment plans have appeared.

Different companies followed Apple’s way and also brought their own payment system. Google offers Android Pay feature, Samsung has its mobile payment option and LG as well. Walmart joint this list and now Target also wants to introduceits own payment option.

Would Target mobile payment system really compete with Apple Pay that is about to come to China? It just getsin on the fun and the company that is apart of the Merchant CustomerExchange [which wanted to compete with Apple through CurrentC system]. It’s also curious that some stores that were backeres for this option are now using Apple Pay to make checkout simple and fast.

It is impossible to pay with Apple Pay in Target retail stores. Still the store’s online customers can checkout with ‘fruit’ mobile payment in Target iOS application. Would Apple Pay ever come to your local Target store? We’ve heard the company’s promise to bring it to stores but if Target releasesits own payment system it might not work with Apple.
