We’ve heard some rumors that Apple to become MVNO in the U.S. and even Europe. The Cupertino-based giant commented o all these reports. What has it to say about the possibility of launching iPhone mobile virtual network and offer users either never-locked SIMs or lock them to its own company?
This week Apple MVNO news promised that the iPhone IMEI maker is silently talking with different mobile operators about launching its own operator service based on the current networks sold by AT&T, Verizon, Sprint network and other carriers. The iOS company reacted to the news and rumors and even commented on this issue.
While Apple says nothing about the upcoming iPhone 6S, 6S Plus and maybe 6c [remember that you will be able to order factory IMEI unlock once any of these smartphones lands in the market because factory service works with all models, iOS versions and basebands] it has something to say about Apple MVNO rumors.
According to Apple, it is not planning and not discussing the possible launch of MVNO cellular service. Is it true? Does the company have such plans and keep them in secret or really has no intension to start its own mobile virtual network?
Different sources assure that the iPhone maker is in talks with carriers however mobile companies don’t give any comments yet. If this ever happens Apple will most likely just surprise users when it starts to sell both iPhone and text / data / calls to them. In such situation you will be able to use IMEI checker to figure out if you are locked to AT&T or Apple MVNO service, we believe.
Right now all eyes are focused on the upcoming iOS 9 with a lot of great features and next generation smartphones that promise to offer more options than the previous gen devices.
