It looks like this indeed might be a unique iDevice that gets an e SIM alternative unlike its ‘brothers’. The eSIM is something that replaces the plastic cards since this is an electronic card. If Apple does include it into its smartphone this SIM couldn’t be removed because it is electronic.
Is it good or not to have Apple e SIM for iPhone 7? This is a complicated question right now. Some experts hope that such a SIM card could work with different carriers and remind of a never-locked state of the iPhone. If this is the case all customers would be happy since they won’t have to worry about ordering factory IMEI unlock for AT&T iPhone when buying the handset from Apple since the company won’t offer AT&T, Sprint and Verizon models [most likely].
